Edgardo Almuite Laynes

Edgardo Almuite Laynes was born to Pedro Leynes and Teodora Almuite in Makati, Philippines on
April 8, 1951. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He
went with the Lord on April 14, 2024, at the age of 73, survived by his wife Natividad, son Christopher,
daughters: Christine, Cheryl, Cynthia, son in laws: Michael, Jerico, and Norman, daughter in law Jewelry,
grandchildren: Jerilyn, Jordan, Collin, Camden, Evan, Mason, Lucas, great grandchildren: Kaylani, Ace,
pets: Peewee, Buddy and the cockatiels. He was the middle child and brother to Freddie, Lito, Roger,
Manuel, Rudy, and Linda. He was known as the one with the best hair of all siblings.
After graduating college in the Philippines with his Engineering Degree, he moved to Mountain View,
California in March 1974 where he worked as a Tech Specialist at Hewlett Packard and met his wife,
Natividad. They wed on April 24, 1977, in St. Joseph's Church in Mountain View, California.
Edgardo (Ed, Gar, Daddy, Papa) was the glue to his family, gathering everyone for every occasion
and cooking a buffet-style meal to share his love for them. He was the best Husband, Dad, and Papa.
He loved his buffets, Las Vegas annual vacations, pets, floral shirts, and his family, especially!
He was a strong man. He fought until the very end. One of his last words he wrote was “Laban
Lan”. He is deeply loved and will be missed. Just like him, we will keep fighting and stay strong.
Edgardo will have his celebration of life at the United Methodist Chapel and will be laid to rest
at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
